Hello Elysian family!
Welcome to a new school year! I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for an amazing new year in art class! We have a beautiful new building with bright shiny walls to fill up with our artwork! Already, K - 6 have their Unit One: Art & Literature projects completed and hanging! (You can see the hanging pieces in the Student Galleries.) Middle school art seminar students have also been working hard to add to the beauty of the school! In the Community Art seminar, students have been working diligently to produce beautifully designed and constructed bulletin boards and art pieces to also hang in the hallways and in the stairwells! Slowly but surely we are building a beautiful representation of the artistic creativity within our student body and school community! In the Project Runway seminar, students have been feverishly working to complete their first project where they created businesses and designed and constructed formal wear made out of duct tape in anticipation of the fashion show at the end of the semester! Students, I am so proud of the hard work that you have done! I cannot tell you how many people (parents, teachers, and students) have told me how impressive and gorgeous your work is. It has truly made our school hallways feel full and rich with warmth and color! Bravo! |
